Testimonial

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was delightful and it's well set out and very comfortable. We found that there was everything there that we needed.

I cannot speak highly enough of the whole experience, from booking, communicating with the housekeeper, to the lovely hamper, the high standard of the cottage. And the staff at Dover Castle we met were also great. We all thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Thank you to you all for making it such a wonderful week. I've already been recommending you to family and friends.

Our stay in the Sergeant Major's House was exceptionally enjoyable. The location within the castle walls meant that wandering around the site once all the day trippers had left was particularly memorable, with beautiful sunsets from the battlements. A typical day was a visit to part of the castle at the start of the day, after which we left the site to the visitors, returning after everyone had left. The house itself was superbly appointed and very comfortable. Hannah the housekeeper had done a grand job in preparing the place, leaving an unexpectedly large welcome hamper, including items for the dog. We all thought that it would be a great place to live!

Dover Castle is my favourite English heritage property, so to be able to stay and properly explore it, even after hours, without feeling rushed was amazing. Loved the cottage and location, the welcome hamper was brilliant and the cottage was spotlessly clean. All members of staff were very helpful and friendly. It was my first time booking an English Heritage cottage, and I would recommend them to everyone! Would love to come back for longer!
