These terms and conditions apply to the Enchanted selfie competition, running on the official English Heritage Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/EnglishHeritage), English Heritage Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/EnglishHeritage) and the official Audley End House and Gardens Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/audleyend/) and the official Eltham Palace and Gardens Facebook account (https://www.facebook.com/elthampalace) from 16:00 BST on 9 December 2021 until 23:59 BST on30 December 2021.

How to enter:

Share your favourite photo from our 2021 Enchanted events with #EnchantedEltham or #EnchantedAudley depending on which site you have visited.

Entries must be received between 16:00 BST on 9 December 2021 until 23:59 BST on 30 December 2021 to be eligible for entry into the competition. This competition is only open to residents of the United Kingdom. 

All entries must be the sole work of the entrant. By entering this competition, individuals consent to allowing English Heritage using, reposting, repurposing or sharing across their website, print and social media for Marketing purposes in perpetuity. The entry, name and Instagram or Facebook handle of the overall winner and runners up will be used by English Heritage and shared on English Heritage’s official Instagram account. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

Three winners, a first prize and two runners up, for each site will be selected from all eligible entries received. The winners will each receive a hamper. English Heritage will contact each winner via Facebook Messenger/ Instagram to arrange the collection of their prize from the site. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 24 hours of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from that winner and pick a replacement winner.

All personal data provided to English Heritage will be held and processed in accordance with the requirements of all legislation and regulatory requirements in force from time to time relating to the use of personal data and the privacy of electronic communications, including (i) the Data Protection Act 2018 and any successor UK legislation, as well as (ii) the General Data Protection Regulation ((EU) 2016/679) and any other directly applicable European Union regulation relating to data protection and privacy (for so long as and to the extent that the law of the European Union has legal effect in the UK). We will keep your personal data safe and secure. We will not share it with other organisations without your knowledge and consent, unless required by law to do so. We will keep your personal data only for the purposes of communicating with you regarding this competition.

Employees or contractors of English Heritage, any person directly or indirectly involved in English Heritage or the running of the competition, or their direct family members are not eligible for the prize.

English Heritage’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prizes must be taken as stated and cannot be deferred. There will be no cash alternatives. English Heritage reserves the right to substitute the prize for one of equal or greater value. English Heritage reserves the right to cancel the competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.

Entry in the competition signifies acceptance of these rules. English Heritage reserves the right to withhold, change or cancel the prize in the event of non-compliance with these rules. English Heritage also reserves the right at its discretion to amend the competition rules at any time.
