Spring is almost here... Join us at Bolsover Castle for a session of green fingered fun this February half-term! First, explore the Venus Garden on a special guided walk inspired by Margaret Cavendish and discover what grows there.

Margaret Cavendish was a keen natural philosopher who asked curious questions about the natural world. Here we'll wonder what plants might think, feel or whether they even have a mind of their own?

Next it's time to get planting! Taking inspiration from your garden discoveries, head indoors to decorate your very own little pot and plant something seasonal to take home with you.

Recommended for children aged 4 - 10 years, this exclusive members' event provides an opportunity to get back outdoors and enjoy some green fingered creativity! This event takes place both inside and outside, so please come dressed for the weather. Please note that due to limited capacity, a maximum of 1 adult per child is permitted at this event.

This event is graded as moderate access, as the walk may cover some uneven or muddy terrain that is difficult to navigate. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
