TIME11am - 12pm
Stoney Littleton Long Barrow
SUITABLE FORAdults
Explore one of the earliest Neolithic tombs in Britain. We will look at how early farming communities connected with the landscape and honoured their dead. We will enter its depths, discovering some of the earliest architecture ever built in Britain, as well as exploring the ecology of the surrounding Wellow Valley, highlighting new bridge access to the site.
This tour is graded as moderate access. The site is reached via a moderate climb up a hill, with possibly uneven and muddy paths. There is restricted space inside the tomb.
Bookings will open for this event on this page on Tuesday 13 October at 9am.
