Clyst Bridge, Clyst St Mary, EX5 1BR
SUITABLE FORAdults
As well as being the scene of a violent fracas at the start of the Wars of the Roses, the long medieval bridge at Bishop's Clyst was the location of a hard-fought and bloody battle during the Prayer Book Rebellion of 1549.
Join Julian Humphrys for a guided walk around the site of these tumultuous events. This event is graded as challenging access, as it is a walking tour over uneven terrain covering up to 1.5 miles (3km) over 2 hours.
Bookings will open for this event on this page on Tuesday 13 October at 9am.
