TIME

LOCATION

1066 Battle of Hastings, Abbey and Battlefield

SUITABLE FOR

Everyone

Can you tell your Edgar from your Aetheling? Are you bewildered by ‘Athel-wotsits’ and ‘Thingy-stans’?

Join us for a fun family-friendly romp through the confusing cast of 1066 characters. Find out how and why the Anglo-Saxon boy prince Edgar Aetheling survived William the Conqueror’s new regime but was consigned to be a footnote of history.

This talk will take place in the Discovery Centre and last around one hour. It is suitable for all ages.

We'll be inside for the tour, but the discovery centre can be cold, so please wear suitable footwear and dress for the weather.

Bookings for this event open on this page on Monday 20 April.
