The stories of Victorian servants such as Mrs Allen remain largely untold. Their lives defined by what they did, what they wore, it was hierarchical, gender specific, knowing your place and duties, very structured and largely detached from the outside world.

Join us while we look into Mrs Allen's life at Walmer castle and the story of an ordinary woman mixed with royalty, aristocracy and was close to the Duke of Wellington. A Story untold until now.
