Wheelchair Access
There is disabled access to the grounds and ground floor of the castle only. Wheelchair users will find one grass ramp leading from the  rear of castle to the courtyard.
Entrance / Set Down
Disabled visitors may be set down at the site entrance, which is located 2 meters from the shop. This does not need to be pre-arranged.

There are two disabled bays in the car park, both of which are located around 20 metres from the main gates.

Deep Water
The water on site is not suitable for drinking. There is also a large lake situated just outside of the castle grounds (not managed by English Heritage).
Trip Hazard
There are many trip hazards across the site. Visitors are advised to stay alert whilst walking as there is no signage in place to indicate areas of risk.
Sheer Drop
There are sheer drops of approximately 4 meters on the castle's curtain walls.
