You can visit Thornton Abbey and Gatehouse on a guided tour on selected days. All visits must be booked below.

Please arrive at the time on your booking as tours start promptly and your ticket is only valid for the tour you have booked on to.

Tours are free but we do ask for a donation to help us care for Thornton Abbey and the other historic sites in our care.

Due to the condition of the monument, we cannot accept any walk-ups or visits outside of a pre-booked tour.

Please note, dogs (other than assistance dogs) are not allowed at Thornton Abbey and Gatehouse.

Guided tours run on the third Sunday of each month at 11am - 12pm, until September:

• Sunday 16 August, 11am - 12 noon
• Sunday 20 September, 11am - 12 noon
