Take in the last of summer with a family walk among beautiful historic gardens, or enjoy an introduction to falconry and witness birds of prey swooping majestically overhead.
If you’re in the area, don't miss the immersive Second World War experiences that are taking place on weekends at Dover Castle. Head to our historic places in October for a Halloween of spooky storytelling, creepy crafts, woodland walks, and trick or treat themed trails.
TIME TO EXPLORE
We've introduced a range of measures, including bookable arrival time slots and reduced visitor capacity, so that you and your family can safely enjoy exploring the places where history happened.
Demand for tickets is high, so please only book if you're sure you can make the date and time of your visit. And remember to bring a face covering - they're now mandatory in all of our indoor places.
For more details, take a look at our answers to some of the most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the booking process and on-site experience.
Join us for a fun day out in the open air, and gaze skywards as we introduce you to a few of the most popular hunting birds flown by our ancestors.
Ahead of your visit, go behind the scenes and meet Emma Raphael - an historic falconer who can often be found at our sites putting on flying displays from across the ages with her husband, Mike, and their fine collection of birds of prey.
'The Allied army is retreating back to the coast of Dunkirk and in danger of annihilation. But in the tunnels at Dover Castle, Vice Admiral Ramsay is leading a top secret mission to rescue as many troops as possible...'
On weekends in September, step back in time to 1940 and experience Dover Castle’s Second World War past being brought to life around you with live interpretation in the open air.Book your visit
