TIME

11am - 12.30pm and 1.30 - 3pm

LOCATION

Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings

SUITABLE FOR

Adults

English Heritage Members are invited to discover the remarkable story of Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings, an icon of the Industrial Revolution.

Join us this November and December for a series of fascinating talks and tours exploring the people, innovations and events that shaped one of Britain's most pioneering buildings. Hear how visionary engineers created the world's first iron-framed building, discover the everyday lives of the workers who kept the mill running, and uncover the site's unexpected wartime history.

There are two different talks or tours on each date, and members are welcome to book one session or enjoy a full day by booking both.

Why not make a day of it? Between sessions, explore the interactive exhibition, enjoy a leisurely lunch or homemade cake in the Flaxmill Café, and take time to soak up the atmosphere of this iconic landmark. Free parking is available all day.
