SUITABLE FORAdults
The Square Mile is known as the financial centre of the UK, but it is the oldest part of this great metropolis. Wander its alleys, lanes and wharfs, and unravel its fascinating chronology. From the murky mythical beginnings to its rise in the Roman times, the subsequent decline and medieval revival, all the way through to the modern age with the soaring skyscrapers and public art.
The walk culminates with a short visit to the Guildhall Art Gallery and Roman Amphitheatre (access permitting). This tour is graded as moderate access due to the walk covering up to 3 miles with few places to stop and sit down.
Bookings will open for this event on this page on Tuesday 13 October at 9am.
