Members' Week 2026: Riviera prize draw

This Members’ Week, Riviera Travel are offering English Heritage members the chance to win an eight-day European River Cruise for up to two people from Riviera’s range of eight-day European cruises, including meals on board and return travel between the UK and the ship’s port.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • 1. The Promoter

    1.1 The Promoter is The English Heritage Trust, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 7447221 and charity number 1140351 whose registered office is at The Engine House, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EH (‘English Heritage’).

  • 2. The Competition

    2.1 The title of the competition is Members' Week 2026 Competition.

    2.2 These terms and conditions apply to the Members' Week 2026 Competition, running on the official English Heritage website from Saturday 23 May 2026 to Sunday 31 May 2026 inclusive (‘the Competition’).

  • 3. How to Enter

    3.1 All entries must be received by English Heritage between 00:01am on Saturday 23 May 2026 and 11:59pm on Sunday 31 May 2026 inclusive to be eligible for entry into the Competition. All entries received after this time are automatically disqualified.

    3.2 To enter the Competition, you need to submit a correct answer during Members' Week (23-31 May 2026).

    3.3 By submitting an entry, you are agreeing that any personal information provided with the entry may be held and used by English Heritage or its agents and suppliers to administer the Competition. All personal data provided to English Heritage will be held and processed in accordance with the requirements of all legislation and regulatory requirements in force from time to time relating to the use of personal data and the privacy of electronic communications, including (i) the Data Protection Act 2018 and any successor UK legislation, as well as (ii) the UK GDPR; and (iii) the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) as amended. English Heritage will keep the entrant’s personal data safe and secure. English Heritage will not share it with other organisations without the entrant’s knowledge and consent, unless required by law to do so. English Heritage will keep the entrant’s personal data only for the purposes of communicating with the entrant regarding this Competition. The entrant shall have the right to withdraw their consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

    3.4 The competition winner will be selected at random by English Heritage. The decision made by English Heritage acting reasonably will be final.

  • 4. Eligibility

    4.1 This prize draw is only open to UK residents over 18, excluding employees and agents of (a) Riviera Travel or (b) any company connected with the production or distribution of this promotion, as well as their relatives or members of their family or household. Proof of eligibility must be provided upon request.

    4.2 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. English Heritage may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter.

    4.3 English Heritage reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.

  • 5. The Prize

    5.1 The lucky English Heritage member that wins the competition will win one cruise from Riviera Travel’s range of eight-day European River Cruises*. The prize will include:

    • Return travel between the UK and the ships port.
    • All meals on board from the dinner on the day of arrival to breakfast on the day of departure, unless otherwise stated within the cruise itinerary.

    • Services of Riviera Cruise director.

    * Where available, the prize is based on one cabin on any 7-night European River Cruise (with exception of cruises on the River Douro, and yuletide market cruises in November or December). This could be solo, twin or double occupancy. All cruises are subject to availability.

    The prize does not include travel between the winner’s home and the UK airport or Eurostar station, travel insurance, gratuities, personal expenditure or incidental costs, beverages and any other food and drink that are not part of the package outlined above.

    ** Excluding any optional ‘personalise your holiday’ experiences, which carry an additional supplement, payable by the winner.

    It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure they and their guest each has a valid passport and travel insurance and obtain any necessary visas for their trip.

    The winner and their guest must adhere to the government’s travel advice.

    Travel by 30th November 2027. This date cannot be extended.

    5.2 The Competition winner names may be required to be featured in a member email or magazine with a quote from them about their trip provided by Riviera Travel. They may also be asked to share their experiences for a Riviera advertorial feature.

  • 6. Winner Announcement

    6.1 The winner will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries. Winners will be notified by email and will be provided with details of how to accept the prize. Failure by the winner to accept the prize in the manner specified, within 14 days of being notified, will make any claim invalid, and another winner will be selected in a random draw, from all remaining eligible entries.

    6.2 Should the winner be unable to accept the prize package for any reason then they will automatically forfeit their claim to the prize.

    6.3 The prize is non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.

    6.4 The choice of cabin category will be at the sole discretion of Riviera Travel. If the winner chooses to upgrade their cabin, then this will be at an additional amount paid for by the winner, subject to availability.

  • 7. Limitation of Liability

    7.1 Insofar as is permitted by law, English Heritage, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of English Heritage, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

  • 10. General

    10.1 If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, English Heritage may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.

    10.2 English Heritage reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the competition where it becomes necessary to do so.

    10.3 These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
