Marc Bolan, the pioneering force behind T. Rex, has been honoured with an English Heritage blue plaque. The plaque marks 31 Clarendon Gardens, Maida Vale, where Bolan lived with his wife June from late 1970 as his career soared with hits like ‘Ride a White Swan’, ‘Hot Love’, and ‘Get it On’.

Stunning examples of Victorian garden architecture returned to their former glory
A unique Swiss-style Target House and historic folly in the gardens of Brodsworth Hall in Yorkshire have been restored to their former glory, English Heritage announced today (21 May), after a year-long conservation effort by the charity. The two Grade II listed examples of Victorian garden architecture as well as an historic rose garden have been carefully restored and are now open for the public to enjoy.
