    Large grassed area around the Priory. Plenty of space to walk and explore. No cycle routes. The grounds are full of wildlife, including barn owls, little owls, rabbits and grey squirrels.

    The spiral staircase up to the Prior's lodgings is not lit. Care needs to be taken especially in the winter when light is poor. There is undulating ground all over the site, visitors need to be aware.

    Due to the delicate nature of our sites, English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
