Car park has space for 80 cars and is located 150 metres from the site via a sloping tarmac drive.

Parking charges apply to non-members and National Trust members. Parking is free for English Heritage members.

Please be aware that the car park can get busy at peak times such as the summer holidays. The busiest times are between 11am – 2pm.
Road Access

12 miles north of Thirsk; and six miles north-east of Northallerton, near A19. Warning: take care when turning off the fast dual carriageway. Look out for brown English Heritage direction signs placed approximately half a mile before the turning
