Group Visits to Richmond Castle
We are now open to bookings from the Travel Trade at Richmond Castle. Pre-booking is now essential to limit visitor numbers and ensure effective social distancing. Please don't travel to our sites unless you have pre-booked as we won't be able to let you in without your booking confirmation.
We provide great value with a 15% discount for groups of 11 or more visitors paying together. We also offer free entry for coach drivers and tour leaders.
There is no limit on the maximum group size. Please note that all groups must separate in to their household/support bubble or party of 6 on arrival and for the duration of their visit. Social distancing rules apply to anyone not in your household/support bubble.

test and trace
English Heritage is legally required to request and record the contact details of customers and visitors aged 16 years and over. If you are able to confirm you have your own contact collection system for every individual (including staff) aged 16 years and over ahead of your arrival your group will be able to bypass the check-in step on arrival outlined here. Otherwise any members of a group aged 16 years and over will be required to check in via the NHS Test and Trace app, using the NHS QR code posters displayed at the site entrance. Please factor this into your travel/arrival time.
Any group members who do not have the NHS Test and Trace app must be recorded by you as an attendee on your visit. These records (date, time of arrival, name, contact number or email or address if they don’t have a number) must be stored by you for 21 days, and must be made available to NHS Test and Trace if requested. We may ask you to verify that you have such a system in place, e.g. we may request your company policy or risk assessment.
By confirming your booking you are acknowledging that your group will either use the NHS QR code posters on arrival, or will use your own contact collection system.
For more information about how we are handling your personal data for NHS Test and Trace please visit this page.
As there is no parking on site, please use free car park in town (4-5 coaches).
Please note we currently have limited ability to offer exclusive guided tours at our properties and cannot always guarantee availability at the point of booking. Group-led guiding is permitted in external spaces only at our properties.
