Garden-loving groups can while away hours in Wrest Park's magnificent 90-acre gardens, taking in the delightful statues, woodland and lakes. The grounds were developed over more than three centuries by the aristocratic de Grey family and bear the imprint of Capability Brown.

Group Discount

We offer a 15% discount (10% for Stonehenge) for travel trade and organised groups of 11 or more paying visitors when payment is made in a single transaction.
Per group you also receive:

  • free entry for one tour leader
  • free entry for one coach driver

The tour leader, coach driver and any English Heritage members do not count towards the group totals.

Making a booking:

Please include the property name and date of visit in the subject line of your email along with the following information:

  • Group name
  • Name of property
  • Tour reference/booking reference (if applicable)
  • Date and time of arrival
  • Number of visitors

Payment method:

Payment can be made on arrival by: cash, credit/debit card, Agency Voucher Scheme (AVS).

Visit & Contact information

  • Coach parking: Drop-Off and pick-up at the visitor centre. Daytime parking for coaches is available to the East of the Main House. You will be directed by a member of staff after drop-off.
  • Catering: Café in the walled garden seats 74 people and provides light lunches and refreshments.
  • Audio guide: Scan the QR on arrival to access our free audio tour. Available in English.
  • Hospitality: Wrest Park is available for venue hire. Please check our website when booking a group visit as areas of the property may be closed for functions.

The Garden Tour

Join our expert on a guided tour of our magnificent gardens, showcasing French, Dutch, Italian and English styles side by side. Fancy French curves and bold Italian geometry provide an opportunity for contrast through our dynamic bedding displays.

  • Duration: 90 minutes.
  • Availability: All year round.
  • Minimum – maximum pax: maximum 20 pax per tour. Larger groups can book multiple tours.
  • Price: normal admission fee + £5.00 per person.
  • Advance booking required: Yes, a minimum 14 days notice is required.
  • Access: The tour will cover a distance of 1/2 a mile on foot.

Archaeological Collections Store Tour

Join our collections team in the Archaeological Collections Store and discover a treasure trove of unique and special objects spanning 2,000 years of England's history. These are objects not normally on display, and form around a third of our total stored collection.

  • Duration: 60 minutes.
  • Availability: Tours available April – October, weekdays only
  • Minimum – maximum pax: maximum 14 pax per tour.
  • Price: normal admission fee + £5.00 per person.
  • Advance booking required: Yes, a minimum 14 days notice is required.

The Wallpaper Rooms Tour

Peek inside the mansion house at Wrest Park as we explore rooms rarely open to visitors – the amazing wallpaper rooms. See the stunning ‘Eldarado’ papers in the French Room and the intricate hand-painted papers in the Chinese Room as our knowledgeable volunteer guides explain the history of these rooms and the family’s use of them.

  • Duration: 45 minutes.
  • Availability: All year round.
  • Minimum – maximum pax: maximum 12 pax per tour. Larger groups can book multiple tours.
  • Price: normal admission fee + £5.00 per person.
  • Advance booking required: Yes, a minimum 14 days notice is required.
  • Access: The Wallpaper rooms are accessed by stairs only.
