Emma Gaggiotti was a professional painter working at a time when women artists were challenging traditional ideas about both art and gender. Discover Gaggiotti’s career, explore the wider role of women artists in the 19th century, and uncover the important part played by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in supporting and championing female artistic talent.
