We're very sorry, but due to the severe weather conditions associated with Storm Austen and Storm Boelo, Illuminated Whitby Abbey will not take place on Friday 23 October, Saturday 24 October or Sunday 24th October. Whitby Abbey will remain open during the day on Saturday 24th until 2pm, but the evening illumination event will not take place. Whitby Abbey will then be closed on Sunday 25 October all day. The safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers must come first and the forecast weather conditions mean it is not safe to operate as planned. If you have pre-booked tickets for Illuminated Whitby Abbey, these will be automatically refunded within 10 working days. We sincerely apologise for any disappointment caused and will review conditions again on Monday morning.
Open daily, 10am-4pm (last entry at 3.30pm)
