Pioneering civil engineer Ardaseer Cursetjee Wadia receives English Heritage London blue plaque
Ardaseer Cursetjee Wadia, the ground-breaking 19th century civil engineer and shipbuilder, has today been awarded an English Heritage London blue plaque. The plaque marks 55 Sheen Road in Richmond, the impressive villa that Cursetjee and his British family moved to upon his retirement in 1868.

Today, as English Heritage reveals the touching ‘then and now’ results, the guardian of Stonehenge is calling on the public to send in as many Stonehenge snaps as possible for a special digital photo-album, created to celebrate the centenary of Stonehenge belonging to the nation.
