Pre-booking is essential for travel trade and groups. Find out how to book, make a payment and what we are doing to keep our visitors and staff safe.
Group Discount
We offer a 15% discount (10% for Stonehenge) for travel trade and organised groups of 11 or more paying visitors when payment is made in a single transaction.
Per group you also receive:
- free entry for one tour leader
- free entry for one coach driver
The tour leader, coach driver and any English Heritage members do not count towards the group totals.

Contact the site:
We've compiled a Historic Properties Contact List to make the enquiry process simpler. It shows the contact details for group bookings at each of our historic sites across England.
Please include the property name and date of visit in the subject line of an email enquiry. We require the following information to check availability and book you in:
- Group name and contact details,
- Name of property to visit,
- Date and time of visit,
- Number of visitors,
- Your tour reference or booking reference (if available).
- AVS number (if available)
Making payment:
For admission prices, please refer to our Trade Admission Prices & Opening Times brochure. Payment is taken on arrival at the majority of our sites. Further details on accepted payment methods can be found below.
How to pay
Payment is taken on arrival at the majority of our historic sites, with the exception of Stonehenge.
Stonehenge:
- By debit or credit card at least 7 days in advance of the visit
- Agency Voucher Scheme
All other English Heritage Properties:
- By debit or credit card on arrival
- By cash on arrival
- By cheque on arrival (made payable to The English Heritage Trust)

Agency Voucher Scheme
Our Agency Voucher Scheme (AVS) simplifies group administration and ensures your visit runs smoothly.
Once your account is set up, all you need to do is confirm you want to use AVS as the payment method when making your group booking. Your tour leaders then present your company voucher at the point of entry and the group will be admitted with no cash transaction. Our team will handle the admin and invoice you after the visit.
Entry onto the scheme is subject to a successful application, terms and conditions apply.
