Dog Bowl and Toileting
A dog bowl is located outside the café. Dog waste bags are provided upon request.
Wheelchair Access
There is disabled access to the ground floor. The café and conservatory are fully wheelchair accessible. There are two wheelchairs available to hire for use in the house and garden. Please call the site on 0208 995 0508 to make a reservation.
Entrance / Set Down
Visitors with blue badges can park near the house, subject to availability. Please phone ahead on 020 8995 0508 to make arrangements to book a parking place as spaces are limited and reservation is required.
Disabled Parking
There are six disabled bays located just outside the villa forecourt.
Stairs
There is one step at the entrance of Chiswick House and a ramp is available if required. All areas of the ground floor are open to visitors and there is some seating. There is a narrow spiral staircase to reach the first floor of the house. If you find this is difficult to manage, the house staff can provide alternative access via the external portico steps. Unfortunately, owing to the constraints of the building, there is no disabled access to the first floor.
Lift Access
There is no lift within the house
Seating And Restpoints
Seating is available outside the café and in the central rotunda of the conservatory, and memorial benches are in plentiful supply throughout the gardens.
Pathways Surface And Gradients
The majority of paths within the gardens are level or gently undulating and have a smooth gravel surface. The steep incline on the Classic Bridge can be avoided by taking a short signed detour around the Northern end of the serpentine lake.

Deep Water
There is a shallow lake in the gardens. Please keep an eye on children when nearby.

Located immediately behind cascade (although this is roped off).

Some outside surfaces may become slippery when wet.

There are very few slopes, although there is a steep incline on the Classic Bridge which can be avoided by taking a short signed detour around the Northern end of the river.
