You need to book timed-tickets in advance to visit Landguard Fort. We have introduced limits on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe, and you won’t be able to visit without your booking confirmation. If you’re a Member, your ticket will be free, but you still need to book in advance.

Assistance may be required with entry to a few rooms where ramps have not yet been fitted to the threshold. 24 of the 32 audio tour points are on the ground floor, including two video rooms. Access to the first floor is by about 20 relatively shallow steps in five separate locations. One set of steps has a partial handrail only. If this is a problem please ask to be directed to a more suitable access point. Please note, there is no lift.
