You can still buy a ticket when you arrive, but you won’t get the discount.

Your booking is only for entry to the site or event, and you may need to pay for parking.

Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.

Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.

    There is no on-site parking available at the castle. There are a number of nearby pay and display car parks, including a multi-storey car park (managed by NCP) opposite the castle and long and short stay council owned car parks within a 10-15 minute walk. Accessible parking is by prior arrangement, please call the castle on 01566 772365. There is no on-site parking for coaches and minibuses, although access to the staff car park is permitted for school visits if arranged in advance.

    The nearest bus stop to Launceston Castle is Launceston Westgate Street. This is a short 0.2 mile walk from the castle. Go Cornwall operate the following bus services to Launceston - see website for operating times. 

    Bus 12 from Plymouth via Saltash and Callington, also from Bude to Launceston. 
    Bus 78 / 78A from Liskeard.
    Bus 79 from Camelford.
    Bus 306 from Okehampton Station.
    Bus 425 from Altarnun.
    Bus 426 from Egloskerry & North Petherwin.

    Stagecoach Bus 85 runs from Barnstaple via Bideford and Holsworthy, also from Tavistock.
