A Very Georgian Garden: History and Landscape at Marble Hill
Art, History, Literacy
Take your class back in time to examine Georgian life through the story of Henrietta Howard, who made a home and country retreat in this spectacular location set on the Thames. Your pupils will learn about the remarkable Henrietta, through art, language and role-play to develop an understanding of how the landscape changed through time. This workshop uses interactive and sensory activities to explore the landscape of Marble Hill House and its rich history. At Orleans House, students will take part in an expert-led clay tile workshop using the landscape as inspiration.
