Wrest Park is now open for you to visit. You now need to book your timed tickets in advance. We have introduced limits on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe, and you won’t be able to visit without your booking confirmation. If you’re a Member, your ticket will be free, but you still need to book in advance. There are other new steps in place to ensure everyone’s safety, so your visit will be a little different.

Although things might be a little different when you visit, you’ll still be able to enjoy exploring the places where history really happened. And you’ll still be given a warm and safe welcome by our friendly – if socially distant – staff and volunteers.

  • Gardens -The beautiful gardens, woodlands and grounds are open for you to enjoy while keeping to social distancing.
  • Summer Quest -This summer, from 18 July, take your family on a free fun adventure quest with a historical twist. Download your trail map here and learn more below.
  • House - The house will remain closed.
  • Archer Pavillion and Sculpture Gallery - The Archer Pavillion and Sculpture Gallery will remain closed.
  • Cafe - Our cafe and kiosk will be open for takeaway service of tea, coffee, cakes and ice-creams. Our cafe will also be serving lunch options including soup, sausage rolls and sandwiches. Our cafe is taking part in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Find out more here.
  • Shop - The shop is open offering a range of gifts and souvenirs. There will be a new one way system in place and we encourage contactless payments. You can also visit our online shop.
  • Playground - the playground will remain closed.
  • Toilets - Toilets are open as usual. Additional hand sanitising stations will be available across the site.
  • Dogs - dogs on leads are welcome to enjoy our grounds.
  • Audio Guides - You can enjoy an audio-tour at Wrest Park using your own device. Simply download the Guide ID Podcatcher App from the Google Play Store or App Store. Once downloaded search for Wrest Park and use the password EHWrest.
  • Face masks - Face coverings must be worn in Wrest Park's indoor shop and café and we recommend wearing them in all other indoor spaces. We won’t be able to give you a face covering, so please come prepared so you don’t miss out.

Summer Adventure Quest

This summer, from 18 July, take your family on a free fun adventure with a historical twist. Follow the trail though the grounds and track down the clues - crack them all to claim your adventurer's certificate. Kick off your quest at Wrest Park every day of the school holidays. Standard admission applies.

Discover our hidden gems including an ornate marble fountain, the 18th century Bowling Green House and a striking Chinese Bridge and Temple. Stroll up the Long Water to the spectacular Archer Pavilion with its stunning interior making it the focal point of the gardens. From autumnal reds to lush greens in the summer, explore Wrest Park’s gardens anew throughout the seasons.
