William Marshal and William de Valence, lords of Goodrich Castle, were great tournament fighters. However, their tournaments weren't the orderly one-to-one jousts we see at English Heritage sites every summer.

Instead, they were team sports, little different from battles, in which teams of knights tried to capture each other for glory, honour, and the prize of their opponent's horse and armour. Our miniature game seeks to recreate something of this knightly sport.
