Dog Bowl and Toileting
Dog water bowls are available outside the cafés, these can be filled up in the bathrooms. Dog bins are located at many convenient locations around site.
Wheelchair Access
Two indoor wheelchairs are available to loan for inside the house. Step free access to the house. There is a lift from the ground floor to the first floor. Paths surrounding the house, cafés, and shops are paved. The main pathway on the South Terrace is level gravel. Paths extending from the house to the wider estate are woodland tracks. These have irregular dips and gradients which may be difficult to navigate, particularly in wet weather. The Brew House café and the Stewards Room café can be accessed step free via an informal ramp outside the accessible toilets, or alternatively there is a small step up.
Entrance / Set Down
Visitors with accessibility needs can be dropped off at the front of house or the cafés. Come to the East Lodge entrance of Hampstead Lane and press the intercom buzzer to speak to a staff member. The vehicle will be escorted to the requested drop off point. Note: vehicles can NOT be parked out the front of house or in the café area, this service is for drop off only. Nearest parking is our West Lodge Car Park or on Hampstead Lane.
Disabled Parking
The Car Park is 300m from the entrance to the House. There are five designated Blue Badge holder parking spaces in the Car Park. Blue Badge holders are welcome to park in any available space free of charge. The size of the bay is 4.6m x 2.3m.
OnSite Transport
There is currently a mobility service running from the car park to the house and back again on Thursday and Saturday between 11:00 and 15:00.
Stairs
Internal stairs have a single continuous handrail. External stairs have either a single or double continuous handrail.
Lift Access
There is a platform lift inside the house which provides access to the upper floors and the lecture theatre. Access to the lift is gladly facilitated by our staff and volunteers.
Seating And Restpoints

Pathways Surface And Gradients
Hoggin paths which extend away from the house may be uncomfortable to walk on and may be difficult for wheelchair visitors given dips and gradients.
