Group Visits to Kenwood House

Coach Parking

No on-site coach parking, park on Hampstead Lane. Coaches are advised to drop off at East Lodge, and then find appropriate parking. Visitor access via East Lodge (opposite Compton Avenue) and then a short walk down a tree-lined drive to the house.

Guided Tours

The following information covers all the tours that we now offer at Kenwood. To book a tour, please download our booking form. 

Group size: The maximum group size for all tours is 25 (minimum usually 11). Groups of more than 25 visitors will be split. We will accommodate a maximum of two groups (50 visitors) within the House at the same time.

Group booking standard/ self guided visit: Admission to the House and Grounds is FREE, however details on donations can be found in the Front Entrance Hall. 

English Heritage Kenwood Guided Tours: Monday - Friday at either 10:30am or 2pm.

Timing: Tours last approx 1 hour. Should you wish to combine tours they would usually take two hours, but can be shortened to fit in with your requirements. Late arrival on pre-booked tours may affect our staffing abilities to deliver the tour. 

Prices: Payment or the proof of your payment will be requested in full on the day of your tour.

Kenwood Highlights Guided Tour

An introduction to the house and its superb collection of artworks and furnishings.

Prices: £13.40 per adult, £12.10 per concession, £8.00 per child.

House and Estate Guided Tour - Monday to Friday only

Introduction to the House and the Grounds including Humphrey Repton. The House and Estate Tour lasts approximately 2 hours.

Prices: £17.20 per adult, £15.50 per concession, £10.30 per child.

Lord Iveagh and his Collection

Why Guinness was good for Kenwood and how its art collection was bequeathed to the nations.

Prices: £13.40 per adult, £12.10 per concession, £8.00 per child.

Repton at Kenwood - Monday to Friday only

A guided tour of the Kenwood estate, including Humphrey Repton, the famous designer of the Kenwood landscape.

Prices: £13.40 per adult, £12.10 per concession, £8.00 per child.

Dido Belle and Lord Mansfield

A fascinating story of slavery and reform told through the eyes of England's most eminent 18th century judge, Lord Mansfield and Dido Belle, his mixed-raced great niece who grew up at Kenwood.

Kenwood Above and Below Stairs

An insight into the separate but intertwined worlds of the Mansfield family and the servants at Kenwood. 1.5h.

Slavery and Justice

Learn abou the history of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and some of the people who campaigned for its abolition. The tour also focuses on the owner of Kenwood, Lord Mansfield, some of the landmark rulings he made as Lord Chief Justic and their significance in the wider abolition story. (1.5hr)

Self led visit

10:00am - 5pm (except 10:30am and 2pm) Max 50 people - free entry. Booking recommended.
