Whitby Abbey Lift Closure

Unfortunately, the lift in our Visitor Centre is out of action. This means that the only accessible entrance into the Abbey Grounds is through our South Entrance next to the council operated Abbey Headland carpark. Please take this into consideration when planning your visit and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
