    Very limited free parking on site: only three allocated spaces outside. There is ample additional free parking on Acomb Road (2 minutes' walk).

    Shop selling a selection of English Heritage gifts and themed souvenirs, including books, stationery, postcards and war memorabilia.

    Male, female and unisex disabled toilets, with baby changing facilities.

    The Bunker’s control rooms display ‘colour-psychology décor’ together with original monitoring and communications equipment. Decontamination rooms with air filters and special sewage ejectors were intended to seal off the 60-strong workforce from the devastated outside world. Period arrangement of 1960s - 1980s including technical equipment and machinery.

    We do have some restrictions at certain locations, so if photography is your main reason for visiting, please call the site ahead of your visit to check if any parts of the site are restricted.

    English Heritage does not permit drone flying from or over sites in our care, except by contractors or partners undertaking flights for a specific purpose, who satisfy stringent CAA criteria, have the correct insurances and permissions, and are operating under controlled conditions.
