  • Site child price for those in formal education/schooling up to age 18, subject to off-peak, peak and standard pricing. Student concession price for university level/higher education students subject to off-peak, peak and standard pricing. When you book your visit you’ll see an itemised cost price for each ticket.   • Groups of 15 or more visitors are eligible for 10% off.
  • Group leaders go free - please see the Hazard Information section on the school visits page for the site you want to visit  and our Terms and Conditions for learner to leader ratios.
  • Free downloadable resources in English or at selected sites translated into French, German and Czech.
  • Expert-led Discovery Visit workshops at selected sites across the country. Sessions are £100 per group plus VAT.

Important booking information

When you’re ready to make your booking, make sure you’ve read our Terms and Conditions and have the following information ready:

  • Visit arrival and departure date and time
  • Age range of the group
  • Subject(s) to be studied
  • Learning objective
  • Number of leaders and learners in the group
  • Name of trip organiser
  • Name of trip leader
  • SEND requirements
  • Emergency contact number (We require an emergency telephone number if we need to contact the group leader urgently on the day of your visit e.g. an emergency at the site, lost property, or managing large groups)

We need 14 days’ notice for Discovery Visit workshop bookings and 7 days’ notice for self-led admission.

FAQs

  • How do I set up an account?

    If you’ve made a booking with us in the past, it’s likely your school will have an account. Our contact centre team can check your account status.  If your school/organisation doesn’t have an account, please register for an account using this form. It should take about 3 working days for your account to be set up, provided we get all the information we need.

  • How do I amend or cancel my booking?

    You can amend or cancel your booking by logging into your education booking account. Please note that we need 14 days’ notice of cancellation, otherwise you may still be charged.

  • How much do international education visits cost?

  • What payment methods do you accept?

    You’ll need to pay for your visit when you book, using a credit or debit card. Before your visit, you can amend the number of visitors in your group by logging into your education booking account. If there are changes to the number of visitors in your group on the day of your visit, the welcome team at the site you’re visiting will be able to make any amendments.

  • Where’s my booking confirmation?

    You will receive an email confirmation, including your entry tickets, via the email associated with your booking. If you don’t receive it, please check your spam folder. You can also email our contact centre team for assistance.

  • What safety measures do you have in place?

    When you book your visit, you’ll need to adhere to our learner and leader group ratios – please see the Hazard Information section on the school visits page for the site you want to visit or our Terms and Conditions. To help you plan a safe and enjoyable trip we’ll provide you with a ‘What you need to Know’ document and Hazard Information to help you with your risk assessment.

  • How many learners and leaders can I bring?

    We have different capacities at each site to make ensure the safety of all our visitors. You won’t be able to book more tickets than there is capacity.   • Why can't I book a Discovery Visit workshop?

    We’re currently offering expert-led Discovery Visits for our international education visitors at selected sites across the country. Due to the nature of some of our sites, some workshops have limited capacity. Where this is the case, we recommend you split your group and book more than one workshop.
