Dover Castle update
Please note, the Secret Wartime Tunnels are currently closed for essential maintenance. We will update this webpage when we know when they'll reopen. In the meantime however, there's still plenty to do including the Great Tower, siege exhibition and play area, regular performances, medieval tunnels and much more besides. Plus to help celebrate the Great British Summer, VAT on family days out has been cut from 20% to 5% until 1 September – and we’re passing on every penny of savings to you. The saving will be automatically applied when you check out.
Prices and Opening times for Dover Castle
Advance booking
You can book online until midnight the day before your visit to get the discount. You can still buy a ticket on the day of your visit online or when you arrive, but you’ll pay full price.
Tickets are sold by timed slot so please aim to arrive for your booked time, but you can stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.
Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.
You can join as a member online or during your visit.
