And it’s flexible too: the 7 or 14 days only begin when they visit their first site. It’s a great value way for them to experience everything English Heritage has to offer, from family adventures and spur-of-the-moment trips to the chance to discover somewhere new together.

LittleBig Pass terms and conditions

  • 1. About Your Holiday Pass
    • The Holiday Pass (the “Pass”) is available as either a 7-day or 14-day pass. All prices quoted include VAT. If the VAT rates change, we reserve the right to change our prices accordingly.
    • A Holiday Pass is valid from the date of purchase and shall expire at the earlier of:

    a) 11.59pm on either the 7th or 14th day after the date of purchase, in accordance with the type of pass selected;

    b) 11.59pm on 13 September 2026. (the “Pass Window”)

    As such, it is advised that 7-day passes be purchased by no later than 6 September 2026 and 14-day passes be purchased by no later than 31 August 2026

    • The Holiday Pass grants its holder entry to all English Heritage sites, other than those excluded from the Pass scheme (as listed in section 6 below), (each, a “Participating Site”) during the relevant site’s opening hours within the applicable the Pass Window, subject to the terms herein. 
    • Once activated, The Holiday Pass dates cannot be changed, extended, postponed, refunded, or transferred. 
    • The Holiday Pass is separate to, and distinct from, an English Heritage membership and does not provide the same benefits as an English Heritage membership. 
    • The Holiday Pass will automatically expire at the end of the selected validity period. 
  • 2. Using your Holiday Pass
    • The Holiday Pass can only be used by the named pass holder.  English Heritage staff may ask for photo ID or proof of eligibility at any time. For the avoidance of doubt, if The Holiday Pass is for two or more persons, the person named on the pass must be present in order for the pass to be redeemed for all persons.
    • Holiday Passes cannot be shared, transferred, copied, or resold.
    • Misuse of The Holiday Pass may result in cancellation of the pass, without refund.
    • Parking is not included.
    • Pass holders may visit Participating Sites an unlimited number of times during the relevant site’s opening hours during the applicable Pass Window. 
  • 3. Children
    • Children under 16 years of age who are Pass holders must be accompanied by an adult to be permitted entry to a Participating Site.
    • Children under 5 years of age accompanying a Pass holder to a Participating Site receive free admission and do not require a separate ticket or pass. 

     

  • 4. Entry & Redemption
    • To use a Holiday Pass, pass holders are to show their valid confirmation email with QR code to staff on arrival to a Participating Site.
    • Mobile signal may be limited at some sites, so we recommend downloading or printing your Pass before arrival.
    • Pass holders do not need to pre-book and shall be permitted entry to a Participating Site during the applicable Pass Window, subject to the relevant site’s opening times, safety restrictions, and operational requirements.
    • English Heritage may change opening hours, Participating Sites, or visitor arrangements without notice and in its sole discretion.
    • Guided tours are not included in The Holiday Pass. In addition, events, exhibitions, and/or activities at a Participating Site may require an additional charge or may be subject to capacity restrictions, and as such guaranteed entry to events, tours and activities hosted at Participating Sites is not included with the Pass. 
  • 5. Lost passes
    • If you cannot locate your Holiday Pass confirmation email, please first check your spam or junk folders.
    • If you still cannot find your Holiday Pass, contact Customer Services on 0370 333 1181.
  • 6. Sites excluded from the Holiday Pass

    The Holiday Pass is not valid for the following sites:

    • English Heritage sites which are closed to the public.
    • Locally managed properties, including: Hylton Castle, Calshot Castle, Castle Rising, Chiswick House, Denny Abbey and Farmland Museum, Hurst Castle, Landguard Fort, Longthorpe Tower, Lulworth Castle, Maison Dieu, Rochester Castle, Upnor Castle, Alexander Keiller Museum, Avebury, Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life, Aldborough Roman Town, York Cold War Bunker, Stott Park Bobbin Mill, Jewry Wall, Kirby Muxloe Castle, JW Evans Silver Factory, Ranger’s House, Apethorpe Palace, Rushton Triangular Lodge, Aydon Castle, and Prudhoe Castle. 
  • 7. Concession Tickets
    • Anyone using a concession-rate Holiday Pass must bring valid supporting documents on the day of their visit to Participating Site.
    • English Heritage reserves the right to charge the applicable general admission rate to any person not able to validate their entitlement to concession rates.

     

  • 8. Refunds, closures and cancellations
    • All Holiday Pass purchases are non-refundable.
    • Refunds, partial refunds, or extensions of the Holiday Pass will not be given for complete or partial failure of a Holiday Pass to use the Holiday Pass due to:

    Unused days

    Bad weather

    Personal circumstances

    Late arrival

    Partial site closures or restricted access

    • English Heritage may occasionally need to close sites, buildings, or attractions or cancel events at sites due to weather, maintenance, safety concerns, industrial action, or events outside of our control. For the purposes of this clause, an event outside our reasonable control means any act or event including without limitation fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, pandemic epidemic or other natural disaster, Royal demise or other Royal ceremony and acts of governmental or parliamentary authority, strikes or industrial action by third parties, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war or threat of war, civil commotion, riot, invasion, or failure of public or private telecommunications networks, pandemic and any law or any action taken by a government or public authority (including what is described as a lockdown). 
    • Where closures, cancellation or disruption are outside of our reasonable control, English Heritage will not be liable for compensation, including travel, accommodation, or other associated costs. 
  • 9. Resale and Unauthorised Sales
    • Holiday Passes may not be transferred or resold.
    • Entry may be refused for Holiday Passes obtained through unauthorised resale.
    • English Heritage is not responsible for Holiday Passes purchased through unauthorised third parties. 
  • 10. Visitor Conduct
    • Visitors must follow all site rules, staff instructions, and health and safety guidance.
    • English Heritage may refuse entry or remove anyone from an English Heritage site or event who is behaving in a disruptive, unsafe, or abusive manner.
    • Visitors may be responsible for any damage or loss caused by their actions. 
  • 11. Miscellaneous
    • English Heritage does not accept any liability for the loss and/or damage of any personal property brought onto a site.
    • English Heritage reserves the right to search all persons and personal property and refuse permission to, or eject from, the venue any person who refuses to be searched by security.
    • All personal data provided to English Heritage shall be held and processed in accordance with the requirements of all legislation and regulatory requirements in force from time to time relating to the use of personal data, including the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018), the UK GDPR (which has the meaning given to it in section 3(10) (as supplemented by section 205(4)) of the DPA 2018), the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) as amended, applicable guidance and codes of practice issued by the Information Commissioner’s Office and English Heritage’s Privacy Policy.     • These Terms and Conditions and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
    • None of the Terms shall be enforceable under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by a party other than you or English Heritage.
  • 12. Changes to these terms
    • English Heritage may update these Terms & Conditions at any time.
    • The latest version will always be available on the English Heritage website.
