FEBRUARY HALF TERM
As part of our Get Hands on With History days (15–23 February) at the magnificent Beeston Castle in Cheshire there will be plenty of opportunities for kids to dress up as lords and ladies, learn how to shoot a bow and arrow, and even try sword fighting.
Get Hands on With History events also take place in February at Audley End House and Gardens; Battle Abbey; Beeston Castle; Carisbrooke Castle; Dover Castle; Eltham Palace; Framlingham Castle; Kenilworth Castle; Osborne; Pendennis Castle; and Wrest Park.
FEBRUARY HALF TERM
The resident Vikings of Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire are offering to share their sword-wielding skills during our February Half-Term events (15–23 February) and teach young warriors all about the Viking way of life. The majestic abbey is set on the cliffs above Whitby and has long inspired writers and artists such as Bram Stoker – so see how a visit there influences you!
During the same dates, we’re also running February Half-Term events at Brodsworth Hall and Gardens in South Yorkshire and Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens in Northumberland.
