Apethorpe Palace Meet and Greet Volunteer

This is your opportunity to provide warm and friendly welcome to pre-booked visitor and groups.

As a first point of contact, you will:

  • Provide a brief orientation to the site including information about health and safety, tour times and parking.
  • Provide welcome information to coach parties
  • Communicate with group leaders and coach drivers, in regards to where groups should wait for the tour to start.  
  • Check pre-booked tickets.

 

Where & when

  •  Apethorpe Palace, Hunting Way, Apethorpe, Northamptonshire, PE8 5DJ
  • The role consists of 2 x 3 hour slots per day, the times of the slots being 9.30 to 12.30 and  12.30 to 15.30. The tours will be running form the 13th July until the 31st August, ideally we are looking for volunteers who can commit to a minimum of 1 slot per week for the duration of the tours.

 

Who we're looking for

We are looking for confident, effective communicators and team players, who have a positive attitude to working with visitors with aim of enhancing their experience. Volunteers in this role will be required to stand for long periods and spend time outside in all weathers.
