There’s parking for around 100 cars opposite the castle entrance. Parking is free to English Heritage members displaying a valid car sticker. Non-members must pay.

The kiosk serves a delicious range of hot and cold drinks, pasties, sausage rolls and sandwiches, as well as delicious pastries, cream teas, ice creams and cakes. We cater for a range of dietary requirements – and even stock tasty treats for your canine companions. There’s no indoor seating, but there are plenty of picnic tables outside.

The kiosk is open to the public, and you don't need to pay admission to the castle to visit.

You are welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy in the 40 acres of woodland park that surround the castle. There are picnic benches and grassed areas, including the Castle Green, to sit on.

Museum tells the history of the site dating back 4,000 years from the Neolithic period to the Civil War. Complete with artefacts.

Beeston Park is surrounded by 40 acres of beautiful woodland park, with pathways and resting areas dotted around the wildlife-thronged woods.

Although there is no designated adventure playground, there is plenty of space for children to run and play.

There are beautiful woodlands to explore around the castle, with wildlife trails for the children to follow, and even the chance to find the lost treasure of Richard II.

Steep cliffs feature on this site. There are large areas of uneven surfaces and rabbit holes.
