Photography Competition at Kenwood

We’re inviting you to take part in our brand-new Photography Competition at Kenwood.

Whether you’re a keen photographer, a local walker with a phone, or one of our dedicated volunteers, this is your chance to capture the beauty and stories of Kenwood through your lens.

Competition Categories

There are two competition categories: Kenwood Gardens through the seasons and Kenwood House.

Flash photography and the use of professional photography equipment is not permitted inside Kenwood House. Please respect no photography signs/spaces with no photography signs. These will not be included in the competition.

  • Kenwood Gardens (Seasons)

    Four prizes for the best seasonal shots through Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

  • Kenwood House

    Capture the splendour of the house itself, inside or out.

Prizes

Winners for the seasonal gardens category will win a Cream Tea for Two at Kenwood Café.

Winners for the house category is a Guided Tour for Two of Kenwood House.

Winning entries will be displayed in Kenwood from February 2027.

When can I enter?

Category One: Kenwood – Seasonal rounds

  • Spring 2026: Opens 1 March – Closes 15 May 2026 – Winner announced 31 May 2026
  • Summer 2026: Opens 1 June – Closes 15 August 2026 – Winner announced 31 August 2026
  • Autumn 2026: Opens 1 October – Closes 15 November 2026 – Winner announced 30 Nov 2026
  • Winter 2026/27: Opens 1 December – Closes 15 February 2027 – Winner announced 28 Feb 2027

Category Two: Kenwood House – Interior or exterior

  • Opens 1 March 2026 and closes 15 November 2026 – Finalists announced 30 November 2026. The winner will be announced in December 2026

How to enter

This competition is free to enter and open to all ages (entrants under 18 must have parent/guardian permission).

There is a maximum of 3 entries per person per season.

By entering, you grant English Heritage permission to use your images on our social media and marketing materials (see full terms and conditions).

Terms and Conditions

  • View Terms and Conditions
    • Entries must be original photographs taken by the entrant
    • Copyright remains with the photographer, but English Heritage has rights to use submitted images for promotional purposes
    • The judges’ decision is final
    • Maximum of 3 entries per person per season
