A day out at Marble Hill is a real treat as this beautiful Palladian villa is set in 66 acres of outstanding riverside parkland near Richmond in West London.
Marble Hill House was built for Henrietta Howard, Countess of Suffolk, a remarkable woman of letters and friend of some of England’s greatest writers. The house and gardens were planned by fashionable connoisseurs, including the poet Alexander Pope, and were intended as an Arcadian retreat from crowded 18th-century London. There can be few places in England that better evoke the atmosphere of Georgian fashionable life.
Whilst the house is currently closed for renovation work, visitors can still enjoy the beautiful parkland and take in the idyllic landscape on a picnic or dog walk with family and friends. As part of the Marble Hill Revived Project, we have refurbished our café which is now open for takeaway and will initially be offering a selection of tasty takeaway treats, with an enhanced light lunch menu to follow.
Please note our new dog policy has now been introduced, find out more here.
