Tynemouth Priory and Castle will be closed from Monday 6 to Monday 13 July 2026 while we host the North Tyneside Council's Mouth of the Tyne Festival. We hope you’ll be able to visit us on another day soon.
Prices and Opening Times for Tynemouth Priory and Castle
Advance booking
You can book online until midnight the day before your visit to get the discount. You can still buy a ticket on the day of your visit online or when you arrive, but you’ll pay full price.
Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.
Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.
You can join as a member online or during your visit.
