You can book online until midnight the day before your visit to get the discount. You can still buy a ticket on the day of your visit online or when you arrive, but you’ll pay full price. 

Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.

Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.

Are you a Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) member? If so, you can get free entry to Walmer Castle and Gardens on the following days:

• Saturdays and Sundays between 3 January and 15 February 2026
• Thursdays and Fridays between 20 February and 30 October 2026
• Saturdays and Sundays between 1 November and 20 December 2026
