We recommend checking your journey to Dover Castle before leaving. Following recent reports of delays at the Port of Dover we can suggest the following alternative routes to Dover Castle that are not impacted by the delays – the main route impacted is the M20/A20:
• The M2/A2 corridor
• The A299 towards Ramsgate and then following the A256 to Dover.
• For those who need to use the M20/A20 we recommend coming off at Alkham Valley and using Alkham Valley Road or coming off at Capel and use old Folkestone Road B2011
Until 26 August you can partake in A Game of Sport and Courtly Love, a riotously fun experience where medieval characters try and earn Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine's affection. It's team red vs team green, so pick a side for the sack races, dance offs and so much more. On weekends, find the bullseye when giving archery a go.
