Pick up one of our new English Heritage Pop Badges when you visit a site!

These nifty little badges are available exclusively for Young Members. Every time you visit an English Heritage site, collect a pop badge to remember your day. Simply show your membership card at any staffed site to collect a badge.

Competition! 

Collect all three visit badges using your Summer Passport to keep track of your adventures. Then share a picture of your collection on Instagram, tagged #BadgeSnapShare, by 31 August 2025 for your chance to win a family ticket for both The Play That Goes Wrong and Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, plus an overnight stay in London at the Thistle Holborn Hotel!

You must have a parent or guardian's permission to enter this competition, and have read the terms and conditions below before entering.

  • Terms and Conditions
    • The Promoter is: The English Heritage Trust, incorporated and registered in England and Wales with company number 7447221 and charity number 1140351 whose registered office is at The Engine House, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EH (‘English Heritage’).
    • These terms and conditions apply to the #BadgeSnapShare competition, running on the official English Heritage Instagram account (@EnglishHeritage) from 19/07/2025 to 31/08/2025 (‘the Competition’).
    • Entries must be submitted between 9am on 19/07/25 and 11:59pm on 31/08/25 to be eligible for entry in the Competition.
    • How to enter:
    • To enter, you will need to share a photo of your collection of ‘visit’ pop badges collect at sites when you visited. To enter on Instagram, you should upload an image to your feed and tag our Instagram account @EnglishHeritage AND use the hashtag #BadgeSnapShare.
    • All entries must be the sole work of the entrant. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images submitted does not infringe on the copyright of any third parties, and to indemnify English Heritage against any claims made by third parties in the event of such an infringement. Obscene or inappropriate entries will not be accepted and English Heritage reserves the right to reject any entries for any reason at its sole discretion.
    • It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images submitted has been taken with the consent of anyone who is identifiable in that footage or the consent of their parent/guardian if they are under 18 years and that they have been advised of the purpose of the submission and that their image may be published by English Heritage.
    • By entering the Competition, entrants consent to English Heritage using, reposting, repurposing or sharing the entry across its website, print and social media for Marketing purposes in perpetuity. The entry, name and Instagram handle (if applicable) of the winner will be used by English Heritage and shared on English Heritage’s official Instagram. The parents or legal guardians of any winning entrants under the age of 18 years must complete a Consent Form consenting to the use of the entrant’s entry, name and Instagram handle (if applicable) for publicity purposes on English Heritage’s website, print and social media and any other media. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
    • One winner will be randomly picked by a member of the English Heritage marketing team on 2nd September 2025. The winner will win a family (four tickets) ticket for both The Play That Goes Wrong and Christmas Carol Goes Wrong plus an overnight stay at the Thistle Holborn Hotel, London. We will contact the winner via Instagram by 5th September 2025 to organise the prize. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 48 hours of notification, English Heritage reserves the right to withdraw the prize from that winner and pick a replacement winner.
    • English Heritage must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation English Heritage will send the surname and county of residence of the winner to anyone who sends a private message to English Heritage owned social channels, emails social@english-heritage.org.uk or writes to The Engine House, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EH, FAO The Social Media Team (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month of the Competition closing. If the entrant objects to any or all of their surname and county of residence being published or made available, they must contact social@english-heritage.org.uk. In such circumstances, English Heritage must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
    • By entering the Competition, entrants are agreeing that any personal information provided with the entry may be held and used by English Heritage or its agents and suppliers to administer the Competition. All personal data provided to English Heritage will be held and processed in accordance with the requirements of all legislation and regulatory requirements in force from time to time relating to the use of personal data and the privacy of electronic communications, including (i) the Data Protection Act 2018 and any successor UK legislation, as well as (ii) the UK GDPR; and (iii) the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) as amended. English Heritage will keep the entrant’s personal data safe and secure. English Heritage will not share it with other organisations without the entrant’s knowledge and consent, unless required by law to do so. English Heritage will keep the entrant’s personal data only for the purposes of communicating with the entrant regarding this Competition. The entrant shall have the right to withdraw their consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
    • Employees or contractors of English Heritage, any person directly or indirectly involved in English Heritage or the running of the Competition, or their direct family members are not eligible to participate in the Competition.
