Eltham Palace and Gardens

Eltham Palace Gardens is open, and operating normal winter opening hours within tier 2 restrictions. This means that some areas of your visit might be restricted. Full Covid-secure measures are in place, and you need to book your visit in advance.

Please Note - Eltham Palace and Gardens is open from 11am – 4pm Sat - Sun (last admission at 3pm) with a new one-way system in place. The Medieval Great Hall and most parts of the mansion will be open as usual but some areas including the basement, the introductory screening room and two smaller bedrooms will be closed to ensure social distancing.

We've made some changes to help keep you safe, and things might be a little different when you visit. Here's everything you need to know.

  • Do we need to Book?

    Advance booking is now essential. We have introduced limits on visitor numbers to help keep everyone safe, and you won’t be able to visit without your booking confirmation. If you’re a Member, your ticket will be free, but you still need to book in advance. Make sure you've read our ticketing FAQ before you book.

  • What parts of the site are closed?

    House - Some areas including the basement, the introductory screening room and two smaller bedrooms will be closed to ensure social distancing.


  • What changes have you made to your facilities?

    Shop - The shop will be open with a one-way system in place.

    Toilets - Our toilets are open as usual. Additional hand sanitising stations are  available on site.

    Cafe - The cafe is open with a one way system in place. There is limited socially distanced indoor seating and takeaway light refreshments.
