Housesteads Roman Fort is open as usual. The National Trust visitors centre is closed, but a coffee cart is available and car park toilets are open 10am – 3pm Tuesday – Saturday. Advance booking
You can book online until midnight the day before your visit to get the discount. You can still buy a ticket on the day of your visit online or when you arrive, but you’ll pay full price.
Tickets are valid all day, so you can arrive at any time and stay for as long as you like within our opening hours.
Tickets are free for members. You can still book online if you’d like – just remember to bring your English Heritage membership card.
